NSGP GRANT : SECURITY EQUIPMENT

Security Camera

The Nonprofit Security Grant Program (NSGP) provides funding to non profit organizations,  at high risk of terrorist attacks. Urban Area Grants are at higher funding levels ($150K in 2018) and cover organizations within designated urban areas. Non-UA grants are given at lower levels (100K in 2019) to non-profit institutions at high risk found outside of the radius of Urban Areas.

Eligible 501(c)(3) nonprofit organizations must utilize funding for the purchase and installation of security equipment on property owned or leased by the nonprofit organization. Equipment is limited to select items contained within categories 14 and 15 on FEMA's Authorized Equipment List; they include CCTV, card access readers, blast film, lighting, fencing, and bollards.

Organizations can apply for second and third grants as long as funds can be justified in securing the facility from an attack.
